I. Love. Burgers.

*Correction.

I. Love. Great. Burgers.

And this, my friend, is a great burger. My sister gave me this recipe idea years ago and I haven’t stopped since. This recipe produces the most flavorful, juiciest burgers and they’re practically world famous at this point (I think).

This bun recipe also did NOT disappoint- here’s the link if you’re interested in trying them out! And even though I’m not strictly keto, I tested out this recipe and these keto buns held up a lot better than most gluten/grain-free bun recipes I’ve tried.

Plus look how pretty golden brown they turned out? I mean come on.

SO without further ado, I give you my “family famous” garlic burger recipe. Because I believe in getting straight to the point.

(Also I served these burgers with some Jackson’s Honest Sea Salt chips, because sometimes you just need potato chips (they’re one of my favorite things) and Jackson’s Honest cooks theirs in coconut oil so it’s a great, healthier alternative to your average potato chip).

Simple & Delicious Garlic Burger Recipe

  • Author: Christine Sellers
  • Prep Time: 12 minutes
  • Cook Time: 10 minutes
  • Total Time: 22 minutes
  • Yield: Makes 4-5 Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb grass fed ground beef, thawed
  • 1/4 cup white onion, chopped finely
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, pressed
  • 2 tsp garlic powder or garlic granules
  • 1/2 tbsp onion powder or onion granules
  • 1 tsp Real Salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • 1 lb grass fed ground beef, thawed
  • 1/4 cup white onion, chopped finely
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, pressed
  • 2 tsp garlic powder or garlic granules
  • 1/2 tbsp onion powder or onion granules
  • 1 tsp Real Salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

  1. In a medium size bowl, add ground beef, chopped onion, and pressed garlic.
  2. Sprinkle spices over the meat, onion, and garlic in the bowl.
  3. Wash hands, and gently knead the onion, garlic, and spices into the ground beef to combine. (Do this maybe 8-10 times- you don’t want to overwork the meat or it will become tough).
  4. Divide meat into 4-5 sections, roll into balls and then flatten to preferred patty size (they ‘ll shrink a bit while cooking).
  5. Cook on medium heat to desired done-ness. I cook each side for about 2-3 minutes and then flip, and repeat that twice (so each side cooks anywhere from 4- 6 minutes).
